The RF 24-105 and RF 24-240mm differ in reach, brightness, weather sealing and weight. I frequently carry multiple bodies and lenses so weight matters to me. I have had many Canon and Tamron 10X zooms before the RF and most of them had several significant issues to deal with at the extremes of aperture and focal length.
