Calling RE5's co-op terrible already makes your post a fail. The co-op in RE5 is one of the best and most enjoyable co-op's in gaming. Especially with the new game + feature. But looking at the fact that you're a day 1 fan of RE, then obviously you would complain about it, because it's change, and people like you dont like change.

Close the origin client and go directly to you origin folder C:\Program Files\Origin Games. Run the origin.exe in this folder with a rightclick -> run as administrator. Try to deactivate your firewall/antivirus software, get sure that Origin.exe and DS3.exe is added to the whitelist of your protection software.

My nephew is finally of age to enjoy games at their full gore and foul language (figured we celebrate with one of the best jump scares I remember as a kid).
I don't think so. Correct me if Im wrong, but EA Sports games don't use online passes. I know it doesn't sound like a valid connection, but those games don't use such a bulk of server space, meaning they can do without the passes. So I'd imagine since Co-op is a Host connect type situation, its not using server space, therefore, no need for passes.
